Five Prints  of Quotations that aren’t Schmalzty:

I must admit, this post was kind of hard to create. Just go to the Letterpress section of Etsy and you will be bombarded by a plethora of cheesiest, mushiest quotation prints you’ve ever seen in your life. And since I’m not particularly fond by these prints and would never hang them in my house, I sought to find just 5 quotation prints that I would. And here they are:

My boss always tells me that a good selling tool for art is the “OTC” and “OTB” idea, meaning “Over the Couch” and “Over the Bed” art which is large rectangular, wider rather than long etc. Maybe that shit died in the 80’s, but I still like the idea of having “a place” in mind for certain works of art. (Obvi- thats why I do “5 Prints”…)

Therefore here are some diptychs/pairs which would be awesome hanging on either side of the bed: his/hers, hers/hers, his/his… whatever floats your boat the point is that they’re pairs.

These prints are all kid-tested, mother-approved. I have a baby nephew now and he lives in Hawaii. Now while that humidity isn’t good for prints in general, I can’t help but be constantly on the look-out for animal inspired prints for him. If having kids meant I could magically afford all the art prints I’d want, I do it in a heartbeat and get all of these prints. (is that awkward?)
